Dernière mise à jour : 25 déc. 2024

Dear BUDOKAS friends

Ryumeikan Dojo

Jérémy LAM: 17 years ago, on September 1, 2007, Jérémy LAM became a member of our Dojo. Since his registration, he has always shown rare regularity in classes and practices the 7 Martial Arts of Takeda Ryu. He also assists Didier LOREA in children's classes. On August 30, 2024, he passed the 4th Dan exam in Aikido which mainly focuses on the study of Ko Ryu and he thus became the 7th member of our Dojo to reach this level in Aikido. He also holds the following grades: Jodo: 1st Dan Iaido: 1st Dan Ju Kenpo: 3rd Dan Kendo: 1st Dan and he also practices Shugi Jutsu.

René VENIER: I taught Ju Jutsu at "Ronin" from 1983 to 1987 and on September 1, 1984 René VENIER became my student. When in the spring of 1987, we bought an old abandoned ironworks workshop on Rue des Champs in Liège to build a Dojo, René was there. When we met the Takeda Ryu School in 1988 and decided to retrain on the basis of this school, René was there. Except for a period of interruption. He is my oldest student still alive, others, including 4 former students who were members of the Dojo de Fraiture, Ronin and founders of the Dojo de la rue des Champs, have unfortunately passed away. This September 6, 2024, he passed the 4th grade exam in Akido which mainly focuses on the study of Ko Ryu and he thus became the 8th member of our Dojo to reach this level in Aikido. He also holds the following grades: Iaido: 2nd Dan Ju-Kenpo: 2nd Dan and he also practices Jodo and Shugi Jutsu.
